Hero Cycles Gifts Ludhiana Joy Land: Opens Amusement Park at O P Munjal Rakhbagh

OP Munjal Rakhbagh yet again is proving to be the most happening place for the people of Ludhiana, with Joy Land — a new family amusement park — being launched by Hero Cycles.

Thousands of Ludhianvies flocked at the opening ceremony of the amusement park, an event which was graced by Chief Guest Mr Pradeep Agarwal, IAS DC Ludhiana, and Guest of Honour Mr. Jaskaran Singh, IAS Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, as Mr. Pankaj M. Munjal, Chairman & Managing Director Hero Cycles Ltd. dedicated the park to the city. Also present at event was Mr S.K. Rai, Vice Chairman, Hero Cycles, along with other eminent personalities.

“It has been our dream to make OP Munjal Rakhbagh the ultimate recreational avenue for the people of Ludhiana, and the amusement park is another step towards achieving the dream.  The amusement center is fitted with over 8 rides and we are going to increase the number in future. We envision the park as one place in Ludhiana where people can get together with their family and friends to spend quality time together.” said Mr. Pankaj M Munjal, Chairman & Managing Director Hero Cycles.

The OP Munjal Rakhbagh park is one of the most famous destinations in the city and is a proud host an open gym, yoga and meditation center, a walking path and a cycling track. The park also hosts various adventure games facility and has a toy train running through, and provides people with options of healthy organic food.

“We have seen this O. P. Munjal Rakhbagh transform in the past two years from a dying zone to a major attraction in the city after OP Munjal Foundation, the CSR arm of Hero Cycles, took over for its upkeep 2 years back. The people of Ludhiana are thankful to the foundation and Hero Cycles for this transformation and for bringing in much activity and happiness to the lives of the city people”, said Mr Pradeep Agarwal, IAS DC, Ludhiana.

The British era park, Rakhbagh, which was renamed as OP Munjal Rakhbagh, has seen over 5.34 crore investment from the OP Munjal Foundation in the past two years bringing people from all walks of life together, making it a hub of celebrations.

“With the launch of the new amusement park, the Ludhiana people yet again find another avenue of unwinding themselves.  We hope OP Munjal Foundation for their support extended over the years for creating such exciting spaces in the city”, said Mr. Jaskaran Singh, IAS Commissioner, Municipal Corporation.

In the recent years, the park has played a unifying role and has not only focused on entertainment and enjoyment but also acts as recourse to recreation, health, and happiness for the people of Ludhiana.
